Found thermostat wires for the heat strip that go into wire or not not in the wire not all the way replaced the blue wire nut that had tried to get four thermostat wires into it to an orange wire nut to receive larger wires tested heat tripped no issues

Found indoor blower motor working normally and turning off and on on call for heat. Believe system fan could've stayed on due to a close on rise from the electric heat strip. Checked fan relay operation - ohmed out fan relay and cycled system to check operation.

At time of service customer noted system was having trouble keeping up in the cold outdoor temperatures. Noted system was putting out a 16° temperature differential added 5oz r410a refrigerant and brought the temperature differential up to 18.5. recommend keeping an eye on system and if struggles to maintain temperature system may have a refrigerant leak.

Found hot water system air bound - bled air from system and filled radiant system to 20 psi - found super vent air eliminator (Honeywell/Resideo) has plugged up with sediment and should have its internals replaced. Quoted replacement vent and auto fill valve. Found cartridges for zones 1 + 2 pumps are bad. Recommend replacement of zone check valves.

Found rodent chew on outdoor C wire causing incomplete connection to outdoor unit. Stripped back wire and cut out chew marks and repaired connection. Everything came on normally again. Treated around unit for rodents and placed rodent repellent bag in outdoor unit.

Factory reset thermostats and power cycled outdoor unit - reprogrammed system thermostats and reconnected wireless connection - cycled all thermostats and indoor powerheads to check operation of units. Everything runs normally again.

Check schedule program verified that everything is 72 during the day and 68 at night. made sure a smart sensor in sunroom was set to 55. Set it to heat mode raise temperature above room temperature after unit started dropped temperature on thermostat below room temperature. The unit shut off did the same thing in air-conditioning. Everything worked as normal tested air-conditioning and heat pump mode five times each no other issues not sure what happened when it was overheating.

System malfunction - communication error -"incorrect plug" fault from thermostat. Turned off unit and stripped back all low voltage wiring and reseated connections to unit. Reset system and cycled several times to ensure proper operation. Everything works normally again!
