Found system circuit breaker tripped at outdoor electrical panel near outdoor unit. Reset breaker, tested system capacitor - found capacitor within range - pushed in contactor to cycle outdoor unit. Unit cycles normally at this time. System pressures appear to be normal within manufacturer's specifications. Breaker trip could have been caused by recent electrical storms, system running amperage of 9.8 does not indicate any issues with tripping system 30 amp breaker.
Ultimate Cooling Tune-Up: cleaned coils, brushed and cleaned traps, added pan treatment tablets to pan. tested and checked all controls, wiring connections. tested temperatures, checked filters. checked refrigerant temperature and pressures, tested static duct pressure. tested blower operation, tested cooling operation to ensure working within manufacturer specifications.
Found system fully operational, refrigerant balance and electrical components are all within manufacturer's specifications. Do recommend replacement of line set insulation and the true suction line refrigerant cap as the cap is missing ( see attached photo)
Removed water from drain pan and clog from drain Performed AC cooling tune up service on heat pump system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, shutdown, cleaning of indoor and outdoor units, treatment of drain. Filter is due to be changed 22x24x1
Found system breaker had a loose wire behind breaker panel on L2 lug - tightened 3 turns - believe that an inefficient connection at the breaker and a long cycle could have caused the breaker to overheat and trip. Everything cycles normally at this time!
Performed AC tune up on heat pump system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, shutdown, cleaning of indoor and outdoor coils, and treatment of drain. Applied tape to ductwork where tape was peeling off.
Found system contactor had failed - replaced contactor and cycled to check operation - everything runs normally again!
Customer stated unit wouldn't shut off during the heat dome but appears to be functioning normally at this time. Performed full diagnostic checking refrigerant balance, all electrical components, unit start up, operation, shutdown, temperature split between supplies and return. Found system fully functional - system thermostat was set to be allowed to over cool space to help dehumidify. Removed overcool functionality. Found zone 2 damper driven open due to fan speed set to medium and driving open main zone as a pressure relief for the blower also adding to the over cooling scenario. Took blower out of on position and set to auto. Everything runs normally again and system satisfied and shut off.
Found system has incomplete power coming from electrical panel - electrical has dropped a leg of 120v. System requires 240v service to operate. Electrician on site fixed issue by replacing circuit breaker. Found system capacitor also out of range - replaced 35+5 capacitor. Checked system operation, everything runs normally again!
Removed algae tablet blocking system drain and removed water from system pan - cycled system to check operation
Upstairs unit capacitor had failed out of range causing unit not to come on during call for cooling. Replace capacitor and cycled to check operation. Everything cycles normally again!
Found system breaker tripped - reset breaker - found system capacitor out of range causing unit to draw locked rotor amps - replaced capacitor and cycled to check operation - everything runs normally again!

Found actuator for zone one to be bad, not closing all the way. Found actuator for zone two to be powered and not moving at all with no power. It’s not opening back up went ahead and replaced both of them and test them.

Arrived to take a look at ticking sound that occurs on start up and shutdown of system - cycled unit on and off several times to check operation - found capped and unused low voltage wires areoving on blower start up and tapping inside the indoor unit - repositioned low voltage wiring so tapping cannot occur.
