remove supply from dehumidifier to the furnace return and tap it into the supply plenum. Then tap return for the dehumidifier into the return on the furnace.

Found system compressor bad on start winding - recommend replacement of compressor - 3/8 biflow drier - start kit with potential relay - contactor - run capacitor - compressor terminal block if not included with compressor.

Replacement of condenser fan motor under manufacturer's warranty. Replaced motor and cycled system to check operation. Everything runs normally again!

Found water in the SS2 float switch. Clean trap no debris was found in trap nor was there water found. This led me to believe that in the crawlspace the drain pipe had another trap. Vacuumed out drain line and poured water into the trap. Went into crawlspace, found where the pipe had a big bow in it, put a strap on it. Everything started draining as normal.

Found second floor system to be low on 410 a refrigerant. SH 48 SC 1. Charge to manufacture specs. Sh14 Sc 10 Found pvc tee on first floor system to be broken and causing water to drip into emergency drain pan. System mechanicals checked out normally within manufacturer's specifications - customer mentioned son had to reset breakers and everything came back on normally. Found breaker panel is pretty rusted and high humidity in the basement. Believe system breaker could have tripped due to a mix of heat and high humidity. Recommend an electrician take a look at breaker panel to help diagnose a solution. May also benefit from crawlspace sealing and additional dehumidification.

Found system blower motor had failed + replaced blower motor and cycled to check operation. Everything runs normally again.

Found system float switch stuck up - removed a clog and cycled to check operation. Found system operating at the same pressures and temps left at 2 weeks prior. Covered under previous call's diagnostic. Everything looks and runs great!

Replace top on outdoor heat pump. Put rubber inside mechanical closet up the concrete block wall. Verified attic space that we can run a control wire from the indoor unit to the duct fan.

Found system condenser fan motor is making a knocking sound like the bearing is failing - recommended warranty replacement of condenser fan motor - ordered motor will call when motor comes in to schedule repair.

Found 2 ton tempstar unit tripping breaker due to start and common windings of compressor shorting together. This failure of compressor and it being an r-22 refrigerant system indicates the necessity to replace the AC system. Scheduled follow up estimate for afternoon of 6/23 will call when on our way.

Found system off due to loss of power - reset system at disconnect switch next to furnace - turned off for 30 seconds and restored power - system came back on normally - cycled to check operation - everything works normally again. Lowered downstairs dehumidifier to 55% and cycled to check operation.

Found return air snap lock to be crushed and disconnected partially. I was able to pull it back together screw it off and seal it with tape to prevent it drawing attic air into the return. Found supply Plenum duckboard to have fallen apart, possibly causing airflow issues Plenum should be replaced with metal and customized to fit into metal trunk line. The 3 duct that are closest to the Plenum are not getting enough airflow. This is probably because they’re so close to the unit. The air is kind of just bypassing. We will rerun the duct that goes to the master bedroom as it has mice holes in it and move it down the trunk line so I can get more air the other two ducks we will extend so they can connect further down the trunk line.

While performing system tune up found system refrigerant balance subcooling to be 6°F on a target of 8°F +/- 3°F the system temperature differential between supply and return was also 2°F off target. These measurements could potentially be skewed by 62°F outdoor temperature but also may be indicative of system low on refrigerant. System is from 1999 and operates on r-22 refrigerant which was phased out January 1 2016. System appears operational at this time but may struggle in high outdoor ambient temperatures. May recommend getting an estimate to replace system. 20x25x1 air filter size Recommended using nonpleated filter.
