Our industry provides multi-faceted, dynamic and a fun work experience.  As a whole, our industry is in in need of qualified, well trained individuals to enter the field.  Comfort Central, Inc. has a goal of providing our industry with these individuals so that our industry may continue to grow and increase consumer confidence.

As part of this commitment, we are in the process of becoming part of the North Carolina Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program (http://www.nclabor.com/appren/appindex.htm).  In short this program combines classroom instruction and field experience under direct supervision of a mentor for a period of four (4) years.  After completion of the program, the participant is awarded a certificate of completion which is recognized as Journeyman's designation in many states.  While not a designation in North Carolina at this time, we have been watching the industry nationwide and feel that it is only a matter of time before North Carolina establishes this designation.

We feel those entering the field will benefit greatly from having the needed support from their mentors and instructors.  We feel that our consumer confidence will grow as those that complete the program will have demonstrated not only the knowledge and skills to practice industry best practices but have the confidence to exceed customer expectations.
