NATE stands for the North American Technician Excellence, it is program designed to increase not only technical skills but consumer confidence.  Below is an excerpt from NATE's Consumer Website:

"NATE-certified technicians are skilled, third-party-certified professionals, the best in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration industry."

While our industry has proffered many certification programs, NATE has continued to stand the test of time and is quickly becoming the standard.  With it's Continued Education Requirements,  NATE certified technicians are not only required to keep up with Industry Practices, they also ever increase their knowledge.

"There are NATE-certified installation and service technicians in every state of the Union and parts of Canada. In all, 23,000 technicians nationwide, as of May 2003. Consumers want dependable service and installation on home comfort systems, and contractors who employ NATE-certified technicians offer the consumer the best people the HVAC/R industry has."

While many Manufacturers and Distributors are requiring only a certain percentage of Service Technicians be NATE certified, we want you to be the best you can be. This is why Comfort Central has decided that we not only want ALL of  our Service Techs, but our Installers as well, to become NATE certified.  We have developed Strategic Alliances so that we may offer you the resources and the confidence you need to earn your NATE Chevrons.  The greatest benefit is that it is yours, your badge of "Excellence," that you may carry with you throughout your career.
